Helmets Sales and Reconditioning

Helmets may only be used for two seasons from their initial manufacture (usually listed as "initial season) or re-certification date before requiring additional re-certification.

Helmets that are to be worn next season (2017) must have an initial season or re-certification date sticker of 2016 or later.

This applies even if the helmet was only worn one season-- there is no way for us to prove years of use.

Options - Re-certification/ Donation/ Buyback

Helmet Re-certification

We will send a shipment of helmets to be re-certified in early spring.  If you would like your helmet re-certified, $20 cash or check will be collected as a deposit when turning in your helmet.  The estimated total cost is $50.  The balance will be collected when you pick up your helmet.  This is based on last year's costs.  If there is a drastic change you will be notified.

Helmet donation

If you have a helmet you no longer want or need, and would like to donate it to the league, we will gladly accept your donation and write you a donation receipt.  Thank you!  These helmets will be re-certified (if needed) and sold next season, with proceeds going to the league for equipment.

Helmet buyback

If you would prefer to sell your helmet, we will buy them according to the following criteria:

Helmets with initial season dates or re-certification dates of 2016 = $50.

Helmets with initial season dates or re-certification dates of 2015 (or prior) = $25

Helmet sales-

Next season, we will sell helmets with 2016 dates for $75 (these will be good for one season before needing re-certification) and newly re-certified helmets (2017 dates- good for two seasons) for $100.

*If you pay to have a helmet re-certified and find it no longer fits your player next spring, you may swap it with a larger size re-certified helmet (if one is available), or you may sell it to the league at that time for $75.  However, if the league already has more helmets than can likely be resold, additional helmets will not be purchased.*

It is the intention of KPPW to provide helmet re-certification and buyback/ used helmet sales primarily as a service to parents, with any additional funds raised used to purchase player & team equipment.

Practices and home games will be played at Skyview Middle School

*This is subject to change.  All participants will be notified if change occurs

Practice for all teams is from 6-7:30pm  Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

KPPW uses the official rule book of Pop Warner little Scholars which has strict rules regarding safety of the players. All players are required to have 10 hours of conditioning without gear and 10 hours of practice with full gear before participating in a game. Weigh-ins are conducted before each game to ensure a level playing field and that all required paperwork is in place. The mandatory play rule is strictly followed to ensure that all players have the opportunity to participate in the game. All teams in the league are guaranteed 8 official games in the regular season not counting play-offs.

KPPW stresses the importance of scholastic achievement, requiring a 2.0 to participate in games. We combine sports and scholastics for a positive experience.    Athletes with less than a 2.0 may participate but are required to submit progress reports once school is in session.
